The site you’re on. Astro in server mode on one SQLite file, with its own admin panel, a blog and share images that draw themselves.
Why I built it
My old portfolio was a static page I never updated. I wanted something I could edit from my phone, without paying for a CMS or handing a login page to WordPress bots.
How it works
- Astro runs as a Node server, so a new post or project is live the moment I save it. No rebuild.
- Everything lives in one SQLite file: projects, posts, messages, reviews and settings. A backup is one file, copied every night.
- Markdown is rendered, highlighted and measured once, on save. Visitors get finished HTML.
- Share images for every page are generated from the title the first time they’re asked for, then cached.
- The sitemap, RSS feed and structured data all come from the same tables as the pages, so they can’t drift.
The admin panel
Argon2id passwords, mandatory two-factor sign-in, rate-limited logins and an audit log of every change. Uploaded images are re-encoded on the server before they’re served.
Where it is now
Live on my own server next to my other apps. I wrote up why I picked Astro and SQLite if you want the longer version.
